The worst curse of the society is corruption. It is there in the form of Bribery, Nepotism, Blackmarketting and whatever else. It was there right from the time barter system prevailed.
When you say 'the needy never care about others and the greedy never cares the society", it underlines corruption. It is just like Dust in the Atmosphere. You can't eliminate it; but only prevent from getting accumulated.
